GRIP I 40 - Moriarty, West to East Interchange

I-40 Moriarty Interchange Groundbreaking

Sections Completed

  • I-40 Moriarty, West Interchange to East Interchange, MP 192-197.4 - 6/3/05

With gold-plated shovels in hand, leaders of Moriarty and Torrance County dig into a golden opportunity. City Councilors along with the County Commissioners and Manager joined Moriarty Project Engineer Habib Abi-Khalil in breaking ground on the high-traffic area of I-40 running through Moriarty.

This is one of the first GRIP projects to break ground in the state, and the first in that area of New Mexico, although, many more projects are slated for that stretch of Interstate. In fact, it’s a vital link connecting New Mexico to Texas, keeping the trucking industry running smoothly and on-time, which means a boost to the New Mexico economy, and our neighboring states.
